Grabbed a photo of this Bull Thistle during a muddy walk in Tilden park over in the Berkeley hills. This plant is a non-native species that originated from Europe. It’s now common here in the California parks. The spikes on this plant are sharp and strong. A good whack from one of these will give you a nice sting.
