Personal
I’m a San Francisco Bay Area–based software engineer, creative and explorer. My interests span cycling, back country skiing, photography, video, and travel; using each as a way to better understand the world and my relationship to it.
I’m drawn to new experiences and continual learning. This may happen while riding unfamiliar trails, documenting the world around me, creating something new, or during time spent exploring. My projects swing between the digital and physical world.
Through my website, I share visual stories, videos, and written reflections that document these pursuits.

Work
I’m a Senior Manager, Principal Engineer within Autodesk Research and have 30+ years of experience designing and implementing software. My expertise in application frameworks originally brought me to Autodesk. I was responsible for architecting and porting the AutoCAD core over to a modern event driven framework. My passion for research eventually lead to my joining the Research team. I’ve researched and developed various alternative input devices and my natural user interface (NUI) research has been prominently featured in the Autodesk Gallery, Autodesk University, Autodesk TechX, Microsoft Professional Developers Conference, and other venues. I’m currently managing a team of software engineer and user experience professionals. Additionally, I’m researching the use of emerging technologies and how they intersect with our customers and our products.
