Grabbed a shot of the north tower of the Golden Gate Bridge the other day on my commute home. I always try to carry my Canon G3 in my backpack so that I can grab a photo if something inspires me. This time it was the colors of the bridge from the sun setting and the lines from the cables leading to the tower.
I recommend trying to carry a camera whenever you can. Not just a phone camera, but one with higher resolution. Then, try to take at least one photo a day.
