Old Oak Tree :: Briones Park

Old Oak Tree :: Briones Park
There are some really great old oak trees around here. The twists and turns of the branches form interesting patterns. It’s as if the oak’s roots had decided to grow up rather than down. A great mass of roots, twisting about, but reaching for the open air rather than water and food. This photo is of a small portion of an old oak’s branches.

I also modified the image with Photoshop’s Texturizer filter and the following settings: canvas, 100% scaling, relief of 4, and light from the top left. This gave the image a texture I liked that contrasted with the branches.
