The final race of the Santa Rosa Cup CX series was held at Maxwell Park in the town of Sonoma. The Bike Monkey crew saved the best venue for the last. And with a little bit of rain a few days earlier, the conditions were perfect. Fast tacky ground, nice weather, and crisp fall temperatures. ...
This was the first race of the three race Surf City Cyclo-X series. Aptos High School kindly offered up their grounds for the venue. Always a great location with a tricky mix of terrain. Especially so for the singlespeed racers as you will see in this video. Riding too big of gears meant paying a painful price. Luckily the fun course made up for that. ...

The cyclocross season is quickly coming to an end. And here we have the final race of the NorCal Cyclocross Series. The new venue was in San Jose and a short splash from Raging Waters. Watch the single-speed A men race across the soft grass, up and down the waterside hill, tread through the sand pit… twice! And of course there’s the Murphy Mud Pit ™. Argh. Sand + Mud = hurt! But it was all good and hopefully we will have this venue back again for next year. ...

Cold weather, really cold for NoCal fair weather cyclocross racers, gave everyone a little taste of real cx conditions… except no mud, no rain, no snow, no ice, and um, well… it was still dang cold for us! Here’s the single-speed A category at the fourth race of the Bay Area Super Prestige Series at Candlestick Park. The second race of the Santa Rosa CX Cup series was held at a new venue, the First Baptist Church of Windsor. Thanks goes out to Pastor Lance, also a fellow cx racer, for helping provide a needed space to race. The course was a twisty mix of grass, gravel, pavement, and wood chips. The latter section zipping in and around the small playground area where spectators good swing and heckle as the racers powered through. ...
