Got stuck in a traffic jam on my ride. But it wasn’t that baaad.

Came across this mound of carpenter ants swarming outside their mound. This was on a cold morning up in Boggs demonstration forest near the town of Cobb, CA.

On my early evening ride in Marin I heard the singing of frogs off in the distance. As I reached the location of the source the crescendo of frog song peaked. The reed filled marsh was filled with what seemed like thousands of the unseen but heard. I walked out onto the small wooden bridge and recorded the song. Play 'Frogs Singing'

A closer look at the garden spiders taking over my backyard. Each morning I need to avoid the new traps they leave. Filmed with a Canon t2i and Nikkor 55mm macros lens.

The views are always amazing along this stretch. The other morning, a Great Blue Heron dropped down to the shore and started strutting around. I rolled to a stop and grabbed a few photos.
