Some of the cows that roam Briones park like to gather near this gate in the evening. They will bunch themselves up into a tight group against the gate and fence. Maybe they feel safer with one side protected.

Whatever the reason, the result is that they leave lots of fresh piles ‘o poop to step over and around when entering the park the following morning. Splotch! Mmmm.
