I have three feeders on my porch and very well licked out every day ! That hummer may have rolled of the grill after the car has stopped . The fan on the radiator keeps any insect and small birds from falling after getting hit due to the suction of the strong blower fan ! Once the engine is turned off , the fan turns off and the creatures with-in.. “drop” . Frost also makes them get near heat near a car at night fall , but as the night gets colder and the engine is no-longer warm … They freeze to death .
